Youth Programs at UNC Charlotte

Building on our remarkable growth over the last 20 years, UNC Charlotte is expanding our offerings to our community’s youngest Niners with the launch of our new Youth Programs initiative.

Youth Programs will serve as the home for our Camps on Campus summer camps and will be joined by more youth centered programs throughout the year. In alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan, Shaping What’s Next, Youth Programs will strive to support K-12 schools, improve educational outcomes, and partner with other educators in Charlotte. Youth Programs will support our region’s youth in engaging with UNC Charlotte’s academic excellence during their K-12 careers.

Our mission in Youth Programs will be to enrich the lives of the youth we serve through the UNC Charlotte experience. We will foster inclusion and connection where children can explore learning in a safe environment. This will provide lifelong learners opportunities to grow and build skills to last a lifetime.

“As a lifelong learner myself, I look forward to expanding our youth-oriented opportunities over the next few years, including courses in reading skills, coding, game design, and ACT/SAT Prep. We are also looking to bring some Camps on Campus classics beyond summer,” said program manager Taylor Faulkner.
